Fashion Gets Leggy

It looks like the nice weather may be drawing to a close – there’s definitely an autumnal nip in the air – but instead of despairing about having to pack away your gladiators and start wrapping up, cheer yourself up with some fabulous tights! It might be true that it’s the season of the shoulder, but legs are still a focus thanks to the array of fabulous eye-popping tights available.

Don’t be afraid of colours or patterns – just make sure you don’t overdo the rest of your outfit. We’ve picked out some of our favourites that will help brighten up any dull autumn day!

We were so excited when Henry Holland annouced he was designing tights for Pretty Polly! They’re now in store at Debenhams. Our favourites are the stripey ones (far left), which are guarantted to inject a touch of high fashion into any outift.  He has created several other designs as well and at only £10 a pair (remember, these are designer goods!), you can afford to treat yoruself to several.

Also on our tight radar are bright pink opaques (top) by Red Herring from Debenhams; the very slimming vertical stripe tight from Oasis (middle) and the pink animal print pair (bottom) from Dorothy Perkins.

The great thing about tights is they’re a cheap way to inject some fun, fashion and serious sexiness into your wardrobe , plus they will update any last season skirt or dress. Don’t be afraid to tip your toe into the tight trend – we guarantee once you’ve tried some of the bolder designs, you’ll never go back to boring black opaques again!

Jil Sander Goes Japanese

Today marks the comeback of Jil Sander! She left her self-name label in 2004 but is back with a vengeance with a fabulous new range with Japanese high street store, Uniqlo.

We were so excited about this range that we were first in the queue at the Westfield London store – and we certainy weren’t disappointed!  The simple lines and sharp tailoring that made her famous are very much a part of this collection, which is full of lots of fabulous classics with a twist. We snapped up a couple of cashmere jumpers and a classic overcoat (seen below) for the very reasonable £89.99. We’re going to cinch in the waist with a battered leather belt for a fabulous straight-off-the-catwalk look.

And luckily, Jil’s range isn’t just for women – her men’s range is also fabulous and full of great knitwear, coats and trousers.  We recommend you head on down to Uniqlo now for a chance to snap up great designs at even greater prices!
