Kate Moss goes monochrome for Mango

We love the latest campaign for Mango featuring Kate Moss (see the video below – it’s fab) and we can’t get enough of Mango’s latest collection of simple, well cut, staple pieces.  Kate Moss always looks effortlessly chic and this outfit of black skinnies with ankle boots, pale blouse and black blazer is simple, casual yet elegant.   Now watch the video.  We want pretty much everything in it…

The Very Best of Versace for H&M. On your marks…

We’ve been counting down the days till the launch of the collection since the announcement of the Versace and H&M collaboration back in June.  Donatella Versace herself said it would be iconic and quintissentially Versace and the collection lives up to it. Featuring bold Versace prints alongside more classic, timeless pieces this has to be the most exciting designer/high street collaboration yet.

Versace for H&M Fashion Show, New York

Blake Lively and Helena Christensen at the Versace for H&M Show

Versace for H&M: classic silver and black

Versace for H&M: bold colour

So, with just two more days to go we’ve been meticulously planning our purchases.   Do we go for brash, bright classic Versace or more understated garments with staying power? The black silk dress with Versace logo buttons worn by Helena Christensen is one of our faves.

Take a look at some of our other top picks:  The Very Best of Versace for H&M.

Of course once the decisions are made, the question is, how do we make sure we get our hands on the ones we want. Experience proves that these collaborations sell out within moments and no doubt 17 November will be a frenzy at stores.  For the H&M stores at Westfield centres there will be a queuing system in place whereby the first 280 people in the queue can shop from the women’s designer collection only.  Then, after the first two hours, the designer area will open to all customers.  So, if you want your pick of the bunch, make sure you’re one of the first in the queue.

Which pieces are you on your wish list?

Winter wardrobe essential: slouchy jumper

Is there a word more comfortable sounding than slouchy?  While comfort often has to take a back seat in the style stakes this does not have to be so with the slouchy jumper because, as Miss Palermo so stylishly demonstrates, slouchy can be chic.

But before you start stretching out your old jumpers or raiding your boyfriend’s wardrobe head to French Connection where we’re loving their selection of oversized knits like this one for £70. Pair with skinny jeans and ankle boots like these Biba coated jeans (£79) and River Island boots (£60),  grab a satchel – we love this cute Sofia bag by Marc B** from Topshop (£47) – and work slouchy to winter perfection just like Olivia.

Get the look: Katherine Heigl’s cape coat and shorts

Today’s style crush is Katherine Heigl.  The summery yellow blouse and shorts get an Autumn update with a Rachel Roy cape coat and leopard print booties as Katherine switches between seasons.  Still, that is LA and we are in England so we’d probably throw in some sheer black tights too.

Get the look: Yellow Top, £29.99, New Look; Faux leather trim shorts topshop £32; Chelsea platform boots, Dune, £95; Camel button coat, £30, Dorothy Perkins; Mesh chain bracelet, £10, Evans.

Kelly Brook and the New Look dress

This picture just makes us want to lie on a chaise longue in a sparkling dress with seriously swooshy hair and a smouldering look.  Or just be Kelly Brook.

However, without becoming a different person and in absence of chaise longue we can still have the dress (and with the help of a Hershesons blow dry, the hair to match too).  This one shoulder shimmer dress from New Look is only £39.99 and perfect for all those winter parties just around the corner.

This season New Look have one shouldered shimmer down to a T this season with a fabulous selection of sequinned and embellished mini dresses and maxis.

Some of their other evening dresses are also making us swoon. As modelled by Kelly Brook below, we love this mini flirty white dress and this black evening maxi.

That’s SO this season…

Fashion Week has just come to an end and the Twitteratti and blogosphere are all about next season but firstly, look at the weather, and then look at what’s in the stores right now.  This season’s warm autumnal colours, faux fur wraps and abundance of coats remind us that right now it is all about the autumn trends and almost makes us grateful for the rain.  Almost.

If you’ve seen our amazing Autumn/Winter shoot in the centres you’ll see some of our favourites in pictures and I’ll be picking out the top items from the stores over the next couple of weeks as well as showing what some of our favourite bloggers did when they were challenged to find this season’s key piece.

But first here’s a look behind the scenes of that fabulous shoot:

Pippa Middleton’s H&M dress

We’re not over Pippa yet and we still love it when we find the sibling to royalty sporting a high street label.  This pretty lace dress from H&M is £24.99.

Pippa makes the dress work for the dreary weather with dark accessories and, that London autumn/winter essential, the umbrella.

Get the look: The Duchess of Cambridge in blue lace

The Duchess of Cambridge showcased her fashion credentials on tour in Canada as she championed Canadian designers, threw a nod to Princess Diana’s favourites and wore some of her own favourites again such as the Reiss Nanette dress she wore for her engagement.

On day 1 after changing out of her travel suit the Duchess stepped out in this beautiful blue lace dress by Canadian-born designer Erdem Moralioglu.

To get Kate’s elegant look we’ve picked out the Donatella dress from Reiss and paired it with some classic nude shoes and a clutch from LK Bennett.

Dress: £110, Reiss, Shoes: £195, Clutch £125, LK Bennett

Hot or not: A touch of midriff

The topic of whether crop tops are a do or a don’t has come up before but once again the midriff has come to the attention of Westfield’s HQ.

Cut out dresses have been all the rage off and on the red carpet with the likes of Leighton Meester rocking it in Michael Kors, Kim Kardashian throwing it in with a bit of colour blocking at the launch of her new perfume in London yesterday and both Eliza Doolittle and Daisy Lowe showing off a touch of (very toned) tum at the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards this week (pictured below).

So what do you think? If you’ve got it flaunt it or put it away?

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester in Michael Kors

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester each have their own unique (ridiculously fabulous) style and both have recently stepped out in different styles of Michael Kors’ gorgeous cut out dresses.

Blake Lively shone in a cobalt blue dress at the MTV Movie Awards this weekend, which she teamed with a pair of platformed purple Louboutins, while Leighton Meester recently drew many a stylish nod for her black floor length dress with cut out sides.

So, in the dress wars, which of the Gossip Girls rocks Michael Kors best?
