Blake Lively and Leighton Meester in Michael Kors

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester each have their own unique (ridiculously fabulous) style and both have recently stepped out in different styles of Michael Kors’ gorgeous cut out dresses.

Blake Lively shone in a cobalt blue dress at the MTV Movie Awards this weekend, which she teamed with a pair of platformed purple Louboutins, while Leighton Meester recently drew many a stylish nod for her black floor length dress with cut out sides.

So, in the dress wars, which of the Gossip Girls rocks Michael Kors best?

Kara Tointon sparkles at the BAFTA TV Awards in CARAT*

Kara Tointon showed that TV can be just glam than the movies when she appeared at the BAFTA TV Awards this week. Teaming her Temperley London dress with jewellery from CARAT* we thought the British actress and winner of Strictly Come Dancing sparkled for all the right reasons.

Best dressed at Cannes 2011

It’s one of the highlights of the film and fashion calendar and this year was no disappointment.  Here are our top fashion picks from the festival.

Best in white

White was the most popular shade of dress at Cannes this year but it was Uma Thurman’s white Versace gown teamed with emerald green jewels that had the ultimate wow.

Best red carpet

Salma Hayek chose Gucci for the press call earlier in the day but it was her evening Gucci dress that showed off her hourglass curves which won it for us.

Best day look

Kirsten Dunst was the star of the show in more ways than one.  The actress took home the prize for best actress for her role in Melancholia but was also the fashionistas choice with her outfits both day and night.

Her mustard coloured Chloe number in this season’s hottest pleats paired with Jimmy Choo shoes for the photocall of was a perfect choice  before the evening when Kirsten switched to a stunning Chanel Couture dress to pick up her award.

Best male

It would be wrong not to draw attention to the men too.  Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp both rocked white on the red carpet and but it was Jude Law who had Cannes style down to a T in his grey suite, white bow tie and sunglasses.

Steal Johnny Depp’s style

On screen Johnny Depp has donned accessories from beads in his hair,  bandanas, mad hats and the odd pair of scissors.

Off screen though Johnny’s style is a mix of tailored suits with plenty of jewellery, those retro sunglasses and quite often a hat of some description.

Pictured (left)  at the Pirates of the Caribbean premiere at Westfield London last week Johnny showed off his distinctive style in a tailored black suit with teal shirt teamed with some of his signature jewellery.

Often wearing metal chains, military inspired necklaces, adorned rings and multiple wrist bracelets in metal and leather, Johnny layers up his jewellery giving even a tailored suit an edge.

We love these pieces inspired by Johnny with a touch of Captain Jack Sparrow about them too.

Shop pendant, £8 Topman, Silver chain £90 and Monarch Ring £85, All Saints, Skull box chain bracelet, £15.00, Topman, Leather bracelet, £100, Tateossian

As for accessories, Johnny’s hat, scarf and glasses collections could give probably give most women’s shoe collections a run for their money.

Refresh 50s Glasses, Topman, £14, Hudson Trilby £30, Burch scarf, £50, All Saints

Penelope Cruz in white lace for Pirates premiere

Penelope Cruz channelled Royal Wedding style as she attended the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean at Westfield London last night wearing a white lace dress.

Split at the front with zip detail the Givenchy dress had a touch of the mermaid feel about it as the Spanish beauty sashayed down the blue carpet alongside co star Johnny Depp to launch the fourth installment of the Pirates franchise.

Steal her style: Jessica Lowndes’ street party look

With the bunting up in the office and some of the team dressing up in red, white and blue today to celebrate tomorrow’s royal nuptuals there’s a real festive vibe at Westfield HQ.

With a few of us are going to street parties over the weekend we were debating what to wear when we stumbled across this picture of Jessica Lowndes in a Lipsy dress.  The 90210 beauty gets it spot on with a floral dress from the high street, blue shoe boots and minimal accessories.

We love this cute smudged floral dress from Dorothy Perkins for just £24.  Team with these KG by Court Geiger Courts (on sale for £69) and accessorise with a cocktail ring (this flower one is £8 from Debenhams) and you’re good to go.  Well, actually, you may need an umbrella.  Then you’re good to go.

Spring Style a la Sienna Miller

Everyone knows Sienna Miller is the queen of boho chic so with the return of seventies style alongside the start of festival season, we’re looking to Ms Miller for a little style-spiration.

Pairing her All Saints white dress with a pair of ankle boots, a hobo bag and vintage sunglasses this is the perfect laid-back look for Spring.  Here’s how to get the casual cool look:

Chocolate Hobo double, £40, Debenhams; Kinji Dress, £40.00, Holiday sunglasses, £30,  Tibet Damsi Boot £185, all All Saints.

Hot or not: Socks with shoes

Once upon a time wearing sandals with socks was seen as a crime against fashion so heinous it made velour look almost acceptable. But now trend setters such as Fearne Cotton are turning the rules on their head by embracing the combination. What do you think, is this a step in the right direction or a step too far?

Get the look: Sophie Ellis Bextor

We all loved Sophie Ellis Bextor’s summery look at the launch of Naomi Campbell’s pop up shop at The Village this week.  The singer-turned-DJ teamed a simple white dress with a statement necklace from Mawi and these amazing shoes from Kurt Geiger taking her look from day to night in an instant thanks to some clever use of accessories.

Necklace: MAWI at House of Fraser, Shoes (with removable corsage) Kurt Geiger
