Last night Naomi Campbell set up shop in The Village in Westfield London to launch possibly the best vintage store I’ve ever seen, her Fashion For Relief store. Among her guests were fellow models such as Jodie Kidd, actors including The Wire and Thor star Idris Alba, and DJ for the night Sophie Ellis Bexter.
Here’s a sneak peak of what happened on the the night:
Sales were already flying off the shelves as a gold Victoria Beckham dress was very quickly snapped up. We lusted after the outfits worn by the cast of Sex and the Cityand saw the Charlotte Olympia leopard print booties, made famous by Olivia Palermo at Fashion Week, on sale at less than half price (I would have bought them right there and then if they weren’t in a model foot size 8!)
Still there were plenty of other shoes ranging from Jimmy Choos to Christian Louboutins, at a hugely discounted price tag of around £200 – £300, to rummage through and some stunning dresses worn on the catwalk and the red carpet by everyone from Kate Moss to Shirley Bassey.
The shop will be restocked daily and is open for one week only. Trust me, it’s well worth a visit and since all proceeds are going to the Prince’s Trust I see absolutely no reason not to buy yourself something pretty. Well, that’s what I’m telling myself anyway.
