Clinique kiss it better: New lip glosses for charity

We love Clinique lip glosses. They make lips look shiny and juicy without being too gloopy and they come in gorgeous colours. We’re big fans of their latest range of Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant lip colours coming in  Pink Me Up (that’s pink to you an me), Mango-thon (pinky orange), Goodness Grapecious, (dark pink), and Nude-tricious (you get the idea). These look great while nourishing our poor London-weather-batttered lips which could certainly do with a bit of nutrition.

Now Clinique has created a limited edition Smoothie Kisses Lip Gloss Set,  which includes all four glosses, and is part of a campaign with Great Ormond Street Hospital to raise money for children with cancer called Kiss It Better.

The  glosses are available exclusively to House of Fraser at  a price of £22.50 for the set, with £4 donated to the Kiss It better Appeal (£2 from Clinique and £2 from House of Fraser), so you can enjoy sumptuous lips while donating to a very worthy cause.

Clinique Super Moisture Foundation

Product review: Clinique Super Moisture Foundation

Available from: House of Fraser

Price:  £20

What it claims to do:
Ultra-creamy yet refreshingly lightweight formula goes beyond flaw-fixing, acting as skin’s undercover moisture agent for a dewy look. Disguises unevenness with sheer-to-moderate coverage. Instantly puts drier skins at ease. Skin looks soft and radiant all day.

Review:
I spent years searching for a foundation that offered coverage but didn’t look caked on; that stayed put throughout the day but didn’t dry out your skin.  This one, for me, does everything I need it to.  It makes the skin look flawless while looking natural. There’s no residue and it does indeed leave a dewy but not greasy look.   While the tube looks small for what you pay, you only need to use a tiny pea size amount for all over coverage which lasts all day.

Final verdict
This has become one of my essential items and I haven’t yet found a foundation that compares.   Worth every penny.

New Clinique colour collection

Landing on Clinique counters today is the new Holiday 2010 collection. It’s limited edition, so we suggest you grab yours quickly.

We’ve got our hands on the Strawberry Fudge Holiday Compact and we’re  not letting it go! It’s a great palette for eyes and cheeks with really pretty shades. There’s a trio of eye shadows and a soft pink blush too.

Sweep the blush across your cheeks for a healthy spot of colour – as if you’ve just been outside in the snow or maybe you’re glowing after a Christmas kiss!

The eyepalette contains a pretty pink, but also offers rich chocolatey browns for more definition. Finish off your eye make-up with the High Lengths mascara, also nestled in the handy little compact.

Finally, there’s the NEW Vitamin C Lip Smoothie Antioxidant Lip Colour. The Strawberry Bliss shade will give your lips a delicate pink gloss, ready for you to pucker up under that mistletoe!

Look out for the new collection on Clinique counters in House of Fraser, Boots and Debenhams

Clinique Almost Bronzer

Beauty Review: Clinique Almost Bronzer

Price: £22
From:  Clinique – Debenhams, Boots and House of Fraser
What it claims to do:
Sheer bronzing duo protects with broad-spectrum SPF 15. Versatile formula lets you customize and build your bronze from sun kissed to suntanned. Provides a natural look all-year round. Long-wearing. Oil free. For all skin types.

Our reviewer says:
I have always tended to go for pink-coloured blushes over bronzers as I don’t really like the orange tint that many bronzers add to your face.  Clinique’s bronzer is by far the best toned bronzer I have ever used. I used the light/medium as I have quite fair skin but it is also available in a medium/dark which is perfect for highlighting your summer tan.

Final verdict
I highly recommend this bronzer. The duo colour allows for you to build up your colour to the desired effect and the bronzer gives you a lovely sheer bronze/gold glow.  As it’s so light you can highlight your face before applying blush for added colour.
