New at Jo Malone

Perfect for Autumn, the fragrance has hints of ‘mellow fruitfulness’. Think of beautiful bouquets of freesias coupled with juicy ripe pears. There are also some warming notes of patchouli, amber and wild roses. It’s so English, so fresh and so natural. It’s so Jo Malone!

Head to the Jo Malone store in The Village to learn about fragrance combining – layering and matching scents to suit your mood. You can also get a complimentary hand and arm massage in the new English Pear and Freesia fragrance (or another of your choosing).

Jo Malone body scrub

Beauty Review: Jo Malone Vitamin E body treatment scrub

Price: £68 (600g)
Available from: Jo Malone

What it claims to do
Jo Malone introduces a luxuriously revitalising new treatment that sloughs away surface cells to reveal radiant-looking new skin. A signature ingredient and beneficial anti-oxidant, Vitamin E is combined with salt to encourage a youthful glow.

This luxurious treatment utilizes Vitamin E and salt to reveal radiant-looking new skin.

Our reviewer says
Unlike some other body scrubs that I’ve used, this is not too gritty and abrasive. It exfoliates enough to feel like it’s removing the dead skin cells and getting the blood flowing again without actually damaging the skin. It also leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised. It’s particularly good pre and post holiday as it contains vitamin E oil which gives skin some serious hydration.

I love the way it makes my skin look more radiant and feel so soft.

Final verdict
I highly recommend this Vitamin E body scrub, especially if your skin is on the dry side.  My skin always feels super soft and hydrated after using it. It’s become a regular feature in my bathroom!

If you like this, you should also try other products in the Vitamin E range. I can also recommend the lip conditioner and body.

Floral fashion

Nothing screams British summer like a floral print. Florals are often thought of as mumsy, conservative and a tad prim. But think again. Flowers are blooming right now and they are bang on trend for summer 2010.

There’s a whole bunch of floral styles around. You’ll find girly, flowing florals for the romantic spirit. Looking for something a bit less chintzy? Go for bold, bright prints which will make an impact.

You’ll find florals in every dress shape from figure-hugging to floaty, so there’s definitely a style to suit you.

Flowery accessories are everywhere. Blame Carrie Bradshaw and her famous co-star, the corsage. That said, accessories are such an easy way to wear the trend. Go for a statement necklace, dainty earrings, chunky rings or just sling on a printed bag.

It doesn’t end there, beauty brands are hot on the floral trend too. Spritz on a flowery scent – we love the natural fragrances at Jo Malone or Clarins Eau des Jardins. Look out for pretty pinks, corals and other natural shades in make-up too. Don’t think can’t be green-fingered, there are some fabulous green nail polishes around this season. Dig in!
