Get the look: Sophie Ellis Bextor

We all loved Sophie Ellis Bextor’s summery look at the launch of Naomi Campbell’s pop up shop at The Village this week.  The singer-turned-DJ teamed a simple white dress with a statement necklace from Mawi and these amazing shoes from Kurt Geiger taking her look from day to night in an instant thanks to some clever use of accessories.

Naomi Campbell launches Fashion for Relief shop

Last night Naomi Campbell set up shop in The Village in Westfield London to launch possibly the best vintage store I’ve ever seen, her Fashion For Relief store.  Among her guests were fellow models such as Jodie Kidd, actors including The Wire and Thor star Idris Alba, and DJ for the night Sophie Ellis Bexter.

Here’s a sneak peak of what happened on the the night:

Sales were already flying off the shelves as a gold Victoria Beckham dress was very quickly snapped up.  We lusted after the outfits worn by the cast of Sex and the Cityand saw the Charlotte Olympia leopard print booties, made famous by Olivia Palermo at Fashion Week, on sale at less than half price (I would have bought them right there and then if they weren’t in a model foot size 8!)

Still there were plenty of other shoes ranging from Jimmy Choos to Christian Louboutins, at a hugely discounted price tag of around £200 – £300, to rummage through and some stunning dresses worn on the catwalk and the red carpet by everyone from Kate Moss to Shirley Bassey.

The shop will be restocked daily and is open for one week only.  Trust me, it’s well worth a visit and since all proceeds are going to the Prince’s Trust I see absolutely no reason not to buy yourself something pretty.  Well, that’s what I’m telling myself anyway.

Naomi Campbell’s pop-up store at Westfield London

From supermodel to designer to event-organiser to shop keeper, Naomi Campbell is bringing Fashion for Relief to Westfield London.  Her New York shows are often a highlight of Fashion Week with a star-studded catwalk and guest list wearing top-end designs.

Now Naomi Campbell is opening a pop-up shop in the centre,  selling outfits from her Fashion for Relief shows, including a Christopher Kane dress worn by Amanda Holden, a Tom Ford suit worn by David Walliams and a Vivienne Westwood Gold Label dress worn by Naomi Campbell herself.

The shop’s windows will be designed by renowned fashion set designer Michael Howells  with a surprise faces on the tills and DJ sets.

All profits from the shop, which will open from April 6 to 13, will go to The Prince’s Trust.  As well as outfits donated by celebrities the shop has been stocked by designers such as Givenchy, Stella McCartney and Mulberry

Front Row At Fashion For Relief

We had exclusive front row seats and backstage access at last night’s Fashion For Relief catwalk show, and we can tell you that it was absolutely fantastic! We interviewed the likes of Alexandra Burke, James Corden, Kimberley & Nicola from Girls Aloud, David Gandy, Jo Wood, Pixie Geldof plus more who were all doing their bit for Fashion For Relief.

The night opened with a word from MC Trudi Styler followed by Sarah Brown, who is a Patron of Fashion For Relief. She gave a touching speech about the plight of women and babies in hurricane stricken Haiti, which made everyone realise the true value of the night. We were then treated to an electric performance from Beverly Knight, appropriately singing Soul Survivor – she blew us all away with her soulful voice!

The show opened with Naomi Campbell – who is even more beautiful in real life and doesn’t look her age at all – followed by Kate Moss, wearing Alexander McQueen, which was a fitting tribute to their late friend and designer. Sir Phillip Green went on to purchase Kate’s McQueen dress for a cool £100k!

Backstage, the atmosphere was buzzing and there were no egos in sight. In the spirit of the night, the celebrity models patiently lined up half-an-hour before they were due to go on and didn’t complain at all – surely a rariety in the celeb world?

Key celebrity catwalk highlights included Naomi & her mother (quite obvious where she got her stunning genes from), Kate Moss, Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, Erin O’Connor, Amber Valetta and mum Yasmin Le Bon walking together, Denise Van Outen who was positively glowing and showing off her growing baby bump, Amanda Holden, Piers Morgan, Alexandra Burke, Shirley Bassey, Jo Wood, Geri Halliwell and of course the cheeky Ronnie Corbett!

Backstage, celebs including Erin O’Connor, Kimberley Walsh, The Saturdays, Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff, Shirley Bassey and David Gandy all signed our limited edition Vivienne Westwood T-shirts, which will be auctioned for Fashion For Relief at Westfield London’s fashion event in March. We’ll also be giving one of these away the next Westfield London e-newsletter – so if you’ve not already signed up, sign up now.

You can watch the entire Fashion For Relief show online now – so take a look and don’t forget, if you’re in London, come down between 19th-21st February and snap up a limited edition Vivienne Westwood T-shirt.
