Oasis goes all Mad Men for New Vintage Collection!

Oasis have launched their ’50s-inspired New Vintage Collection in select stores, including Westfield London, today.

Featuring kitsch floral prints with a modern edge, the designers were inspired by Mad Men for this rather special capsule collection.

The collection includes five colourful print dresses ranging from £110 to £150, and accompanying silk scarves and evening bags make up the colleection.  This season’s modern florals are teamed with  a classic ’50s silhouette for the new vintage look.

Our favourite has to be the yellow floral dress with the sweetheart neckline which they’ve paired with clashing print pumps and a silk scarf for their campaign shot.  So pretty and perfect for all the summer events coming up!

Fashion finds at our car boot fair

Fashion editor, celebrity stylist and blogger, Marian Kihogo visited our Westfield London Car Boot Fair and had a great rummage around the cars. She had a chat to us in our blogger lounge.

Which piece caught your eye today?
MK: The faux fur mongolian jacket at Reiss. It’s a gorgeous petrol blue colour. Faux fur is everywhere this season and this is an amazing high street interpretation. You could wear it with jeans and flat pumps or over a little black dress. It works worn in a casual style or dressed up.

Did you spot any vintage bargains?
MK: There were amazing things at Mary’s Living & Giving car. I couldn’t believe the Chanel bags. They were next to new! There was some great vintage jewellery too. I spotted amazing acetate pieces – 1950s and 60s style is so on trend right now.

What stood out to you most at the Car Boot Fair?
MK: Westfield London has some great brands here. You’ll find the season’s key trends – camel, capes and leopard print are must-haves. There are so many great reasons to come down to this amazing event!

Which trend appeals to you most for A/W 10?
Personally, I love 1950s pieces. I’ve seen midi-length skirts, secretary-style blouses and high-waisted camel trousers in particular. They’re classic styles that you can wear for years.
